The platform behind your listing

What your firm's name will be sitting next to

Directory listings are only worth what the surrounding content is worth. A county listing on a site that publishes approximate law is a liability; one on a site that cites primary sources is an asset. Here is what is actually underneath it.

20,793

current official-source documents, each stored with its citation and a link to the publisher

452

official sources monitored across 52 jurisdictions, on per-source re-check cadences

2,826

counties mapped to the court division that hears their cases, each with the court's own citation

Every figure traces to the authority that published it

Exemption amounts, median income tables, filing fees, expense standards and local practice are stored as records with a citation, a jurisdiction and an effective window — derived from the official text rather than researched second-hand. A page cannot be saved if a figure in its prose disagrees with the stored value, and a figure with no traceable source does not publish. Where a state's figure has not been verified, the page says so instead of estimating. You will not find yourself explaining a number on this site to a client.

The corpus is why it ranks, and why AI answers cite it

Competitors describe the law. Bankruptcy.law reproduces it: the full official text of the statutes and rules that decide consumer cases, with a stable anchor on every subsection, alongside plain-language explanation. Search engines and AI assistants both reward material that carries its sources, and a generic content farm cannot manufacture a corpus of official filings. That advantage compounds in your county every month you hold it.

Enquiries arrive qualified, not raw

Before anything reaches you, the assistant has run the interview and the deterministic engines have done the arithmetic — where the household income sits against the published median, what filing costs in that district, whether a prior case affects timing, which division would hear it. What lands is a roadmap and an intake summary from someone who has already worked through their own situation, not a name and a phone number. And it lands with one firm: exclusivity is enforced in the database, not promised in a contract.

The standards this rests on are public — how sources are verified and how pages are written and checked. Read them before you put your name on a county.

What membership includes

Everything in one county membership

$155/month, month-to-month. One active participating firm per county. No guaranteed leads or results, and not a referral-fee arrangement — this is paid attorney advertising and ongoing local-presence work.

  • Exclusive county presence

One active participating firm per county. While your membership is active, the county is yours.

  • Exclusive attorney-request connections

When a consenting local consumer asks for help from a bankruptcy lawyer, that request goes to your firm.

  • Local-presence reporting

A monthly Local Presence Report: the work completed, local visibility signals, and consented consumer connections.

Ongoing editorial, court, rule, fee, exemption, and procedure maintenance so your local content stays current.

The core of the membership

10 Local Authority Deliverables every month

Every month, Bankruptcy.law completes 10 pieces of substantive local editorial work designed to strengthen your firm's presence in its claimed market.

Deliverables may include:

  • New local bankruptcy guides
  • Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 resources
  • Attorney-reviewed consumer Q&As
  • District & division procedure guides
  • State exemption resources
  • Emergency bankruptcy checklists
  • Court, trustee, fee, or form updates
  • Substantive article improvements
  • Consumer-question expansions
  • Improvements to pages already earning visibility
We publish a new page only when it addresses a distinct consumer need and adds meaningful legal, procedural, or local value. The goal is not to manufacture content. It is to build a durable local presence for your firm.

Before you claim a county

The questions firms actually ask

Is this pay-per-lead?+
No. $155/month flat, month-to-month, whatever happens in the county. Nothing is priced per consumer request, per call, or per signed matter, and there is no revenue share — a fee tied to whether you are retained would be a referral-fee arrangement, which this is not.
How many consumer requests will I get?+
We do not forecast that, and you should be sceptical of anyone in this category who does. What is promised is the work: 10 Local Authority Deliverables every active billing month, sole placement in the county, and every consented request from that county routed to you. Your monthly report shows what was completed and what it produced — including when the answer is “not much yet.”
I’m admitted in three districts. Can I hold counties across all of them?+
Yes. Bankruptcy is practised by district admission, so a firm may hold any county in any district it is admitted in — each county is a separate $155/month placement. Checkout asks you to confirm admission for the district that hears the county’s cases, and consumer requests route only to a firm admitted there.
Who else can appear in my county?+
No other firm. One active placement per county is enforced by a unique constraint in the database, not by a clause in a contract — two firms cannot hold the same county even if we wanted to sell it twice.
How do I cancel?+
Reply to any email from us, or cancel in Stripe. It is month-to-month: the placement runs to the end of the period you have paid for, then the county is released. No term, no notice period, no cancellation fee.
Will I have to defend the content under my name to a client?+
That is what the verification layer is for. Every legal figure on the site is stored as a record with its citation, jurisdiction and effective window, derived from the official text; a page cannot be saved if a figure in its prose disagrees with the stored value, and where a state’s figure has not been verified the page says so rather than estimating. The standards are public — how sources are verified and how pages are written.
Who is behind this?+
Antonio G. Jimenez, Esq., Florida Bar No. 21022 — a practising attorney, not a marketing agency. His name and bar record are on every content page, which is the same standard we hold your firm’s attribution to.

How it works

From a distressed search to a consented connection

Bankruptcy.law is a legal-information and attorney-connection platform — not a law firm. Private information is shared only after the consumer affirmatively consents.

  1. 1A consumer searches Google, Bing, ChatGPT, another AI system, or Bankruptcy.law.
  2. 2They find a bankruptcy guide, exemption resource, calculator, checklist, district page, or Q&A.
  3. 3They engage with the Bankruptcy.law assistant (Arthur) or the financial-triage experience.
  4. 4They may receive relevant educational follow-up emails.
  5. 5Your firm may appear in relevant county-associated emails, with disclosure.
  6. 6The consumer asks for help from a bankruptcy lawyer.
  7. 7The consumer affirmatively consents to sharing their information.
  8. The active county member receives the connection.

Contacting a firm does not create an attorney-client relationship. The firm independently reviews conflicts and decides whether to accept the matter.

The complete local presence

One firm, one county, four channels

This is not a directory listing and not pay-per-lead. While your membership is active, Bankruptcy.law builds and maintains your firm's presence across the local bankruptcy consumer journey.

Search & AI discovery

Available

Bankruptcy.law develops useful resources around what financially distressed consumers in your market are actually trying to understand — Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 questions, local court process, and your state's exemption framework. Search and AI visibility are potential outcomes of that work, not promises.

Consumer inbox

Member rollout

Your firm may appear in relevant Bankruptcy.law emails associated with consumers from your claimed county, with an attorney-advertising disclosure and only where placement is contextually appropriate.

Bankruptcy.law

Available

Your firm receives active territory placement across relevant county, district, division, and state resources — and is surfaced when a consenting local consumer requests help from a bankruptcy lawyer.

The firm's website

Coming to participating firms

Participating firms may have the option to add the Bankruptcy.law consumer assistant (Arthur) to their own website — a legal-information tool, not legal advice.

Bring the assistant to your site

The Bankruptcy.law consumer assistant on your website

Arthur is a consumer-facing legal-information and educational tool. It is not a substitute for a bankruptcy lawyer.

Coming to participating firms

What it does

  • Provides general bankruptcy information
  • Explains common Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 concepts
  • Helps consumers understand common terms, procedures, and questions
  • Uses structured bankruptcy intelligence and official-source materials
  • May guide a consumer toward contacting your firm, with consent

What it doesn't do

  • Does not provide legal advice
  • Does not decide whether a person should file bankruptcy
  • Does not decide which chapter a person should file
  • Does not predict dischargeability or case outcomes
  • Does not create an attorney-client relationship
  • Does not prepare or file a bankruptcy petition

This is a planned member capability — coming to participating firms. It is presented here so you know what it will be, not as an install you can enable today.

Check county availability

Claim your county

$155/month, month-to-month. One active participating firm per county, with exclusivity enforced at the database level. No guaranteed leads or results, and not a referral-fee arrangement.

See which counties are open.

Bankruptcy is practised by federal-district admission, so a firm may claim any county in a district it is admitted in — and consumer requests for a county route only to a firm admitted in that county's district. Every county listing names the district that hears its cases, with the court's own source.

Self-serve checkout is being finalised. You can still ask for a county from the availability page and we will set it up by hand — the district admissions and practice scope are captured the same way either way.

See our Advertising & Marketplace Disclosures for exactly how placement, routing, and consent work.
